Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

The machinist manufactures parts for our stainless steel wall valves. Additionally, they efficiently manage the materials and equipment necessary for production. Their tasks include:

  • Machining various parts using a conventional lathe, a conventional milling machine, a thread rolling machine, etc.
  • Preparing material to be machined using a metal saw
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturing plans
  • Inspecting the produced parts visually and using measuring instruments to validate their quality and compliance
  • Operating lifting equipment and the forklift to move parts
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Keeping the inventory of raw materials up to date and maintaining the computerized system on the progress of the machining performed

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies in machining techniques
  • 5 years or more of experience in similar roles
  • Good math skills. Knowledge of imperial measurements
  • Valid forklift and overhead crane operator’s license (an asset)
  • Versatility and autonomy
