Job Summary and Main Responsabilities
The machinist manufactures parts for our stainless steel wall valves. Additionally, they efficiently manage the materials and equipment necessary for production. Their tasks include:
- Machining various parts using a conventional lathe, a conventional milling machine, a thread rolling machine, etc.
- Preparing material to be machined using a metal saw
- Reading and interpreting manufacturing plans
- Inspecting the produced parts visually and using measuring instruments to validate their quality and compliance
- Operating lifting equipment and the forklift to move parts
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Keeping the inventory of raw materials up to date and maintaining the computerized system on the progress of the machining performed

Skills We Are Looking For
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in machining techniques
- 5 years or more of experience in similar roles
- Good math skills. Knowledge of imperial measurements
- Valid forklift and overhead crane operator’s license (an asset)
- Versatility and autonomy
