Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

Produits de Métal Vulcain operates in the sheet metal processing industry on estimate. Its operations evolve in the cutting, stamping, punching, bending and assembly of sheet metal, for the industry of heavy transport, public transport and special vehicles. The company employs more than 150 people and is located in the Saint-Jérôme industrial park.


  • Support managers in assessing the impacts of growth on organizational structure and workforce planning.
  • Develop and implement effective and innovative strategies to attract and recruit necessary talents to pursue the organization’s growth projects.
  • Participate actively in international recruitment projects.
  • Promote a sense of belonging, by optimizing organizational communication processes, contributing to a healthy and mobilizing work climate, and personalizing onboarding activities.
  • Manage the OHS component. Maintain and strengthen the Health and safety culture and act as a resource person with the safety groups. Develop and implement a prevention plan – Establish, coordinate and animate H&S committees – Develop and implement policies – Provide expertise in regulations, accident investigation and management of occupational injuries.
  • Coach and guide managers in key areas, such as: labor relations, health and safety, recruitment, performance management, training, application of HR laws & policies and compensation and benefits.
  • Establish training needs and implement a training program for employees’ skills development.
  • Participate in the negotiation of a collective agreement in 2025, act as the employer’s representative with the union, then coordinate and lead the meetings of the labor relations committees.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of the new HRIS.

Know-How Required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French;
  • Political sense, project management, advisory role & coaching.
  • Projects management abilities;
  • Coaching.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • University degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations;
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar role (generalist in a unionized manufacturing environment);
  • Comfortable with technological tools as well as social media.
