Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

The Production Planner acts as a key person to prepare the production of orders in collaboration with his peers, in order to promote a continuous flow of operations and meet customer needs.

  • Receive customer orders (EDI and emails);
  • Open customer orders in SAP;
  • Ensure constant updating of customer orders in SAP so that they reflect customer needs in real time (arrivals by Customer Portal, email or EDI);
  • Be in communication with customers (planners) for order follow-ups, confirmations and modifications;
  • Perform MRP analysis of production requirements in SAP;
  • Open work orders and prepare production packages;
  • Analyze and develop the production plan schedule;
  • Close work orders in the in-house database;
  • Work closely with the Production Supervisor and the staff of the Shipping and Purchasing Department;
  • Actively participate in production team meetings.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations and Production Management or equivalent experience;
  • 0-2 years of experience in similar functions;
  • Essential bilingualism;
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Outlook);
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry (asset);
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (an asset);
  • Experience with SAP systems (asset);
  • Knowledge of metal (asset).
