Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

The planner acts as a key person to plan and prepare production schedules, coordinate the receipt of materials and shipments of finished products, in collaboration with their peers, in order to promote a continuous flow of operations.

  • Ensure that the system reflects the needs of the client and see to its update/punctual level;
  • Make supply schedules for raw materials and subcontracting and produce purchase requisitions;
  • Generate work orders for production in order to establish the production plan taking into account equipment, deadlines and human resources;
  • Produce shipping lists;
  • Perform inventory adjustments for raw materials and finished products;
  • Actively participate in production meetings;
  • Work closely with the production supervisor.

  • Ability to manage priorities, be organized and structured, all with minimal supervision;

  • Ability to manage several files at the same time (multitasking), to be autonomous and to show initiative;
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a critical sense in order to question ways of doing things.

 

Skills We Are Looking For

  • College diploma completed in Transportation Logistics Technique or equivalent experience;
  • 1-3 years of experience in a planning management positions (similar functions);
  • Bilingualism essential;
  • Very good computer skills (Excel, Outlook);
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Experience with LISA and SAP systems (asset).
