Job Summary and Main Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications on dies
  • Use specialized equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, etc.
  • Carry out machining operations based on plans or sketches
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of replacement components
  • Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements
  • Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with existing procedures
  • Keep the work area clean

The assignment requires compliance with ISO procedures and processes.

Know-How Required

  • Knowledge of imperial and metric measurements, and conversions.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to comply with high quality standards.
  • Attention to precision, order, and cleanliness.
  • Strong observation skills for small finishing details.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Mechanical knowledge – an asset.
  • Welding knowledge – an asset.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • DEP (Post high school degree) in Machining Techniques or equivalent experience.
  • ASP in Die-making – an asset.
  • The candidate must successfully pass the tests administered by the employer.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Self-starter with initiative.
  • Very good global physical condition.

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift. Summer schedule from June to September (4.5 days);
  • Salary: $31.12/hour, with a salary review on July 1, 2026;
