Job Summary and Main Responsibilities
The valve assembler installs components and sealing gaskets on the wall gate and ensures the product performs properly. From time to time, they also assist the shipping department. Their duties include:
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings;
- Assemble the metal valve parts and sealing gaskets;
- Perform leak-tightness tests;
- Operate lifting equipment;
- Move parts using a cart;
- Inspect produced parts visually and using measuring instruments to validate their quality and compliance.
Know-How Required
- Communication skills, leadership, and a strong team spirit
- Strong adaptability in a continuous improvement environment
- Good physical condition (loads to be lifted may sometimes reach 40 pounds)
- Intellectual curiosity
- Versatility and autonomy.
Skills We Are Looking For
- Completed high school diploma (an asset).
- Experience reading drawings.
- Valid forklift operator certification (an asset).
