Job Summary and Main Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the IT Coordinator, Software Development, the incumbent acts as an expert in software development, ERP, and application integration for the entire ISE Metal group. They actively contribute to strategic projects, the evolution of business systems, and the technical leadership of the team. More specifically, their responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an expert in the development, evolution, and maintenance of the company’s software solutions;
  • Designing, developing, and optimizing business applications, databases, APIs, integrations, and reports that support the organization’s operations;
  • Analyzing needs, proposing appropriate technological solutions, and evolving system architecture to ensure performance, security, and reliability;
  • Developing and optimizing SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and reports, while contributing to the establishment of standards, best practices, and quality of software development within the team;
  • Contribute to the evolution, integration, and continuous improvement of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and business solutions, including SAP Business One, MieTrak, and related applications;
  • Adapt systems and develop solutions that support the company’s manufacturing operations and business processes;
  • Participate in workflow automation, data reliability, and the deployment of improvements across various business units (Canada/United States/Mexico);
  • Actively participate in strategic projects that support the technological evolution of operations, including the development of business applications, the improvement of ERP environments, the deployment of barcode solutions, and the modernization of Microsoft SQL Server environments;
  • Contribute to the operation and governance of the company’s data, including aspects related to Bill 25, as well as the evolution of business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse solutions;
  • Participate in the development of application solutions integrating artificial intelligence to automate processes, support analysis, and improve the tools used by the company;
  • Support our users in correcting and resolving various problems related to business applications (technical support, bug management) that prevent them from performing their work;
  • Develop accessible tools and provide user training;
  • Contribute to technical leadership, the sharing of best practices, and the continuous improvement of processes;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

  • Demonstrate technical leadership, autonomy, and rigor, while possessing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Be able to effectively manage priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to a constantly evolving environment;
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and the development of strong partnerships with users;
  • Be committed to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and technological solutions.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in software development;
  • Experience with a manufacturing or enterprise management ERP system, ideally SAP Business One;
  • Proficiency in application development with C#, .NET/ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and the Visual Studio environment;
  • Experience with web development, REST APIs, and systems integration;
  • Demonstrated understanding of relational databases and SQL query optimization;
  • Comfortable with software development best practices, including the use of Git, code review, code quality, software architecture, and application security;
  • Good command of English (spoken and written);
  • Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) (an asset);
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing company (an asset).
