Job Summary and Main Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accurate figures in a timely manner to facilitate decision-making with the best possible and accessible information for all business units of the ISE Métal Inc. group. More specifically, the responsibilities include:

 

  • Analyzing variances between actual results and financial forecasts.
  • Conducting cost analyses and making concrete recommendations.
  • Working closely with the Corporate Controller on various financial files and ad hoc analyses.
  • Actively participating in external audits and interacting with auditors and government authorities as needed.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial analysis tools and processes.
  • Mastering database query tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, advanced Excel) to extract and structure data from various sources to generate operational and strategic analyses.

The position holder is in direct contact with clients and suppliers. Although most activities in Quebec are conducted in French, many exchanges, both oral and written, take place in English, particularly with partners located elsewhere in Canada and the United States. Communications with business units outside Quebec (Ontario, Mexico) are conducted in English to ensure a common understanding. Electronic translation tools are available to support the quality of written exchanges in English.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specialized in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in similar functions.
  • Holder or in the process of obtaining your professional title (CPA) (asset).
  • Advanced mastery of Excel and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Curiosity for technological environments such as SAP Business One, SQL, or Power BI.
  • Very good communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal.
  • Great learning capacity.
  • Aptitude and taste for teamwork with respect for all.
