Job Summary and Main Responsibilities

The General Labourer performs a variety of tasks including cleaning, sanding, deburring, straightening, polishing, and inspection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning, sanding, deburring, straightening, polishing, and inspection tasks
  • Assemble components into finished products
  • Perform quality control checks before shipment to customers
  • Package products at the end of press operations
  • Inspect finished products
  • Assemble boxes and prepare them for shipping
  • Assist with shipping, including pallet packaging
  • Operate auxiliary equipment such as washers, vibrators, rotary drums, spot welders, drill presses, and other related equipment*
  • Operate a forklift and overhead crane as needed
  • Carry out all tasks safely and in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Perform any other related duties

This role requires compliance with ISO procedures and processes.

Note: General Labourers are not authorized to operate stamping presses, CNC laser machines, CNC press brakes, or broaching machines.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma (DES) or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to frequently move, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Knowledge of imperial and metric measurements and conversions (asset)
  • Valid forklift licence (asset)

What We Offer

  • Evening shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift (4:00 PM to 12:30 AM)
  • Summer schedule (June to September): 4.5-day work week
    • Monday–Thursday: 3:15 PM to 12:30 AM
    • Friday: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Hourly wage: $21.52/hour
