Job Summary and Main Responsibilities

Because operations are growing at ISE Métal – Plant 2, we are adding to the team by looking for a Production Manager for this plant.

The Production Manager – Plant 2 is responsible for meeting production objectives (welding, painting) and delivery deadlines for all departments under his/her coordination, to meet customer needs. He/She actively participates in the implementation of the powder coating department. He/She coordinates the activities of production personnel regarding the application of their responsibilities and the execution of their tasks. More specifically, his/herresponsibilities include:

  • Participating in the development and implementation of the operational strategy for operations carried out at Plant 2.
  • Implementing production methods (processes and procedures) in a “lean manufacturing” mode.
  • Starting a powder coating department (fall-winter 2025-2026) and overseeing its expansion.
  • Participating in the hiring of employees for all departments under his/her coordination.
  • Ensuring that team members are adequately trained and qualified to perform the work according to established instructions.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards at each stage of production for all departments under his/her responsibility.
  • Adequately managing human resources and keeping them motivated (work schedules, timesheets, support, training, disciplinary actions, etc.).
  • Achieving production objectives in collaboration with the team.
  • Monitoring performance indicators and submitting them within prescribed deadlines.
  • Working closely with other Supervisors and support department personnel.
  • Participating in production meetings and the health and safety committee.
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensuring preventive management of maintenance, repairs, and equipment installation.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • College education in a technical or management field with technical skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a manufacturing production team and a powder coating team, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the Lean approach (e.g., Toyota) and a strong interest in continuous improvement.
  • Basic knowledge of welding and mechanized welding assembly.
  • Basic knowledge of powder coating.
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office software (Excel, Outlook).
  • High learning capacity.
  • Aptitude and taste for teamwork with respect for all.
  • Experience in starting a process/department/plant (Asset).
