Job Summary and Main Responsibilities

The Shipping Assembler is responsible for sorting parts received from suppliers and preparing component kits required for valve manufacturing. They are also responsible for packaging custom products to ensure safe, damage-free delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings
  • Pick and gather accessory parts required for valve assembly
  • Sort metal parts to create ready-to-weld kits
  • Build pallets and package products for shipment
  • Operate lifting equipment and forklifts to move materials
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory of materials
  • Perform any other related tasks as required

Know-How Required

  • Strong manual skills and experience using construction tools (saw, drill, nail gun)
  • High level of attention to detail and concentration
  • Ability to optimize stacking methods for efficient transportation
  • Good communication skills, leadership, and team spirit
  • Ability to adapt in a continuous improvement environment
  • Good physical condition (ability to lift up to 40 lbs)
  • Curiosity, versatility, and autonomy

Skills We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma (DES) or equivalent experience
  • Experience reading technical drawings
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid forklift license (asset)
