Job Summary and Main Responsibilities
The valve assembler installs components and seals on wall-mounted valves and ensures that the product performs properly. Occasionally, they assist the shipping department. Their tasks include:
- Reading and interpreting manufacturing plans;
- Assembling metal valve parts and seals;
- Conducting leak tests;
- Operating lifting equipment;
- Moving parts using a cart;
- Inspecting manufactured parts, both visually and using measuring instruments, to validate their quality and compliance.
Know-How Required
- Communication skills, leadership, and good team spirit
- Ability to adapt to a context of continuous improvement
- Good physical condition (loads to be lifted can sometimes reach 40 pounds)
- Intellectual curiosity,
- Versatility and autonomy
Skills We Are Looking For
- High school diploma (an asset).
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Valid forklift operator’s license (an asset).
