The Assembler (shipping) is responsible for sorting the parts received from suppliers and prepares the sets of parts necessary for the manufacture of valves. Its tasks include:
Read and interpret manufacturing plans;
Collect the various accessory parts going to the valves;
Sort metal parts to form assemblies ready for welding;
Manufacture pallets and package products to be shipped;
Handle lifting equipment and operate the forklift to move parts;
Maintain materials inventory;
Any other related task.
Know-How Required
Communication skills, leadership and good team spirit;
Good ability to adapt in a context of continuous improvement;
Good physical condition (the loads to be lifted can sometimes reach 40 pounds);
Intellectual curiosity, versatility and autonomy;
Ability to concentrate and detail.
Skills We Are Looking For
High school diploma completed (an asset);
Experience in reading plans;
Valid forklift driving license (an asset);
Manual skills and skills with construction tools (saw, drill, nailer);
Ability to optimize product stacking methods to achieve efficient transportation;
Basic knowledge of using a computer.
