Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems on production machines (and others if applicable).
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and the building.
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical installation work.
  • Manufacture parts required for the repair, maintenance or assembly of machines.
  • Carry out machining and welding operations as part of maintenance.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of continuous improvement and process optimization projects.
  • Ensure compliance with existing safety rules when carrying out repair and improvement work.
  • Work closely with the various departments of the plant.
  • Carry out all tasks safely and in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the workspace.
  • Carry out any other related tasks.

The mandate requires compliance with ISO procedures and processes.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Professional studies diploma in industrial mechanics or professional studies in Electromechanics of automated systems.
  • Knowledge of imperial and metric measurements and conversions.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (measuring tape, square, level, multimeters, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of welding and machining.
  • Knowledge of control logic, motors and drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (Mig, Rod), forklift and lifting platform driving, etc.
  • Knowledge of electricity and carpentry – an asset.
  • Good physical condition in general because must frequently move, bend and alternate between sitting and standing.

What We Offer

  • Regular daytime position.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 30-minute meal break.
  • Hourly rate: $30.29/h.
  • Complete group insurance and telemedicine service.
  • Seven (7) paid working days during the holiday closing period.
  • Work clothes provided after the probationary period, every 18 months.
  • RRSP with employer contribution.
