Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

  • Be able to understand and effectively use all production documents (plans, work orders, etc.).
  • Carry out the assembly (set up).
  • Provide a first and last compliant part for approval by the Quality Technician.
  • Operate the production equipment.
  • Enter your time and quantities of parts produced into the computer system.
  • Collect finished products from the machines and place them in containers.
  • Maintain the supply of raw materials to the presses.
  • Make machine adjustments as needed (e.g.: press height, straightener, etc.).
  • Apply the quality controls in place (control plans or other work instructions).
  • Work in collaboration with the toolmaker at the end of production stage “Tooling Audit”.
  • Drive the forklift and operate the overhead crane in the performance of your duties.
  • Perform all of your tasks safely and in accordance with existing procedures.
  • Keep your workspace clean.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

The mandate requires compliance with ISO procedures and processes.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma
  • Be able to analyze and solve problems.
  • Be autonomous and able to take initiatives to optimize performance.
  • Must frequently move, bend and remain standing for long periods.
  • Knowledge of imperial and metric measurements and conversions.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (caliper – micrometer, etc.).
  • Knowledge of reading plans.
  • Knowledge of mechanics – an asset.
  • Computer knowledge – an asset

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Summer schedule from June to September to work 4 ½ days.
