Job Summary and Main Responsabilities

The Welder, Aluminum Specialist, understands and interprets drawings, and is able to carry out both assembly and welding responsibilities for the various types of parts we produce. All with a minimum of supervision.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welding and assembling various aluminum parts using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW);
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings;
  • Very good understanding of welding parameters and their effect;
  • Inspect produced parts, visually and using measuring instruments, to validate quality and conformity;
  • Operate welding robot and perform basic handling;
  • Operate lifting equipment and tools used to shape parts to be assembled;
  • Maintain and promote a clean and safe work environment at all times;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Know-How Required

  • Strong interpersonal skills (integrity, support, teamwork and customer focus);
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills, rigor and a good work method, while having good execution speed and being attentive to the quality of his work;
  • Demonstrates versatility and the potential to develop;
  • Demonstrate good safety practices in the performance of duties.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Diploma of vocational studies in welding or welding and fitting;
  • Experience as an aluminum welder;
  • Experience in TIG and MIG welding (GTAW, GMAW);
  • Experience in plan reading;
  • Experience using welding robots (asset);
  • Experience with lifting equipment (asset).

What We Offer

  • Workplace: 20 route de Windsor, Sherbrooke;
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime. 40-hour schedule in 4 1/2 days (ending at 11:00 on Fridays);
  • Salary: depending on experience;
  • Two (2) weeks vacation;
  • 7 paid working days during the holiday season;
